Blackcomb is famous for its mile-high vertical rise, and exciting
skiing experience. It’s the largest skiable area in North
America, with the most advanced high speed lift system featuring
15 Express
lifts in a total system of 33 lifts. There’s an extraordinary
mile-high vertical, plus twelve incredible bowls, three glaciers,
and more than 200 marked trails for endless enjoyment at all age
and skill levels. Transworld Snowboarding said, “Whistler
Blackscomb has what no other resort in North America does-unbeatable
natural
terrain and parks and pipes that hold their own.” There is
a huge variety of fun-packed things for more entertainment: dogsledding,
fishing, flightseeing, heli-skiing and boarding, (and the only “Rotor
Quad in the world), horse-drawn sleigh rides, paragliding, snowmobiling,
and snowshoeing. There is snowmaking, and a snow groomer that flies
